The December 2009 Concert was in aid of The Mayor of Havant's Appeal, which this year was supporting the Elizabeth Foundation and Off the Record.

The Mayor wrote

I am writing a big "thank you" to you and your guitar students for your kind cheque donation of £619.25 which gives my appeal fund a very welcome boost.

The appeal is growing quite respectably and currently stands at around the £6,000 mark although I hope that this figure will increase significantly following my Christmas Charity Ball.

I will write to you again in the New Year to give you an update but in the meantime please accept my sincere thanks together with my best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
