The December 1995 Concert has become famous as the "Workshop Hall of Horrors" !
Not only did the heating fail, and it was just 12 degrees Celcius in the Hall, but the wall-mounted heaters kept fizzing and sparking all evening, resulting in a recording accompanied by endless raspberries...
Needless to say, it was the last Concert to be held in St John's Church Hall in Purbrook! Held on December 7th, we played to an audience of 73, and had a playing contingent of 24.
The Concert raised money that was split between St Wilfrid's Hospice and the National Asthma Campaign.
